Scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine. It is often mild and undetected. If you have scoliosis and experience back pain, the scoliosis may influence where pain occurs because of its restricted motion, but scoliosis itself does not cause pain. Spinal pain may be related to a strain of muscular or ligamentous tissue, or degenerative changes of the spinal components. Treatment is available utilizing exercise, stretching, and education of proper activity and body mechanics. Back to Orthopedic Rehab |
