Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a female health disorder that occurs when cells from the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other areas of the body. This can lead to pain, irregular bleeding, and problems getting pregnant.

Although physical therapy treatment can not cure this condition, it can help to teach you techniques to minimize pain (often reducing need of pain medication), diminish adhesions, and help you to maintain optimal health of the pelvic floor region.  We utilize visceral mobilization, trigger point release in affected muscles, relaxation techniques, diaphragmatic breathing, modalities, such as biofeedback and TENS for pain relief, and home self care program.
