Back and Neck Pain

Pain at the neck, lower back, or mid back is common, and occurs for a variety of reasons.  Sometimes, pain will refer to the arms or legs.  This is commonly referred to as sciatica, when it is experienced in the legs.  Pain may be long standing for more chronic complaints, or of shorter duration for an acute injury.

We evaluate your condition, looking at your posture, the motion of your spine, strength, and sensation.  We palpate the muscles associated with your back or neck, and associated muscles of your limbs. We manually assess segmental motions of your spine, to localize your complaint, and treat the source of the existing problem.  We discuss your problem with you, and direct treatment toward satisfying your goals and resolving your complaint.
